Alastair Ritchie spent ten years with Johnston & Johnston before joining 3i where he was a consultant, resident in Scotland, involved primarily in small private companies. Following a period with a small management services business, he became managing director of Fife Indmar plc in 1988. Since 1993 he has been actively involved in small company investment, management buy-out and management buy-in opportunities and corporate recovery. He is presently a director of Close Second AIM VCT plc, Aberforth Geared Capital and Income Trust as well as being chairman of several private companies.
